Modifications for Oculus Rift Touch Controller using 3D Printing Technology

It’s only the virtual technology that can rival 3D printing’s ability to fuel our imagination. Being one of the most advanced example of VR on the market, Oculus’ groundbreaking Rift headset has not only been making waves for the last few years but have now made the process even more exciting by making it possible for the gamers to 3D print their own accessories for the Rift’s Touch controllers. Moreover, the guidelines in the form of CAD files have also been now made available online for anyone modifying their Touch controllers using 3D printer and the design by the Oculus.
As this release has been a follow-up to last year’s publication of the designs for the Rift headset, therefore Oculus has been actively encouraging its users to get involved thereby improving its products. And now with the successful implementation of variety of different potential modifications using 3D printing technology, the customization of a new grip or mount for the touch according to a particular user’s needs or whims is no more an impossible task.
Release of CAD Files
Coming with every touch controller, the release of CAD files includes the design for the Rock Band guitar adapter as another application could be the improvement of new outsider controllers. This in turn resulted in the empowerment of the 3D printing of new gadgets that will automatically have the capacity to interface up to the Touch similarly.
Innovation Accessible for Outsider Alteration
Oculus is not the principal VR organization to distribute its arrangements and make its innovation accessible for outsider alteration. Since the time commercially available virtual reality headsets have started hitting the market, HTC and Valve have not only released out 3D designs for their own devices but have also been tracking out the technology that will make the VR experience possible. Doing this won’t only expand the range of applications VR can have but will also make sure to get it more and more integrated into everyday life for all sorts of purposes.
Availability of New Modifications and Developments
While these new adjustments and improvements would as of now just be available to somebody with the 3D printing assets and the 3D plan mastery therefore all sorts of ingenious new accessories could soon be popping up online, in places like Etsy or Ebay etc. as soon as these hobbyists start with the making of their best creations commercially available.

Experience of Virtual Reality
Enhancing the solace and fun of the virtual reality experience is certainly an advantageous objective, however what is maybe all the more energizing about this discharge is the potential for VR to be made open to a more extensive market. Individuals with constrained versatility, or other extraordinary necessities that are not at present met by the innovation Oculus and its rivals have created, could soon have the chance to appreciate what the Rift and different gadgets like it bring to the table. In the event that we think about the courses in which 3D imprinting all alone has profited the outwardly debilitated group, for instance, then the mix of 3D innovation with VR proposes a fantastically encouraging future. All that is required is the skill and the will to help, which incalculable other 3D printing new businesses and activities have appeared to be accessible worldwide in wealth.
