ProtoLabs use PolyJet 3D printing technology for its manufacturing process
ProtoLabs, a leading digital manufacturing company recently declared use of PolyJet 3D printing system for its manufacturing processes at this year’s Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo in Cleveland, which runs from March 29-30. Through PolyJet it is possible to manufacture rigid and elastomeric materials in different colors and designs. The products manufactured through PolyJet 3D printing technology are extremely smooth and can have complex geometries. Now ProtoLabs uses 3D printing processes like stereolithography, selective laser sintering, and direct metal laser sintering.
A military veteran gets new 3D printed prosthetic that help him swim
33 year-old Dan Lasko, who lost his leg in combat in Afganistan has been provided with 3D printed prosthetic that can help him enjoy swimming with his family and friends. This successful attempt by New York hospital and healthcare network Northwell Health has helped Dan Lasko to venture back into a swimming pool after losing his leg.
SLM announced 22 percent growth in the financial summary for 2016
SLM Solutions AG declared a 22% increase in revenue for the 2016 fiscal year. The leading 3D printing company has successfully achieved a massive growth with combined revenue of TEUR 66,137 rose to TEUR 80,707. SLM is based out of Lubeck, Germany and currently has 320 million staff worldwide. According to Henner Schöneborn, CTO of SLM Solutions, “We are confident as well as proud of our recent achievement with the help of 3D printing technology.” As 3D printing technology is growing day by day it means more growth is expected for SLM solutions.
