Chinese New Year Celebration at Boston with 2,000 3D Printed Roosters

2017 is, of course, the Year of Rooster. An art exhibit-slash-vending machine spitting out 3D-printed plastic roosters, day and night, for next year is a complete innovation. The Year of the Rooster in China was celebrated majestically as the Rose Kennedy Greenway park in Boston hosting an unusual 3D printing project.

Artist Chris Templeman is part of Artisan’s Asylum fablab in Somerville, MA. A creation dreamed up by this artist, the all-new 3D printer will be printing out more than 2,000 3D printed plastic roosters for visitors to keep. This will take place over the course of the year.
