Mars Ice Dome – a theory or a concept for an ice-based habitat on Mars, has been revealed by a team of designers, architects, and NASA experts. This is done by the Mars Ice House – winner of 3D Printed Habitat Challenge given by NASA in 2015.
As the surface of the Mars has high temperatures and the atmosphere of the planet is not suitable for high-energy radiation, the humans who want to settle on the Mars will require robust and protective shelters from the unflavored weather conditions. However, constructing such shelters is not an easy task. Even astronauts can also take only a few resources at a time from earth to the planet. The construction can’t be done with old materials. Hence, astronauts need to make use of those valuable things that they could find on the planet including water.
