The Berlin-based maker “Niklas Roy” introduced the first homemade software called as gDraw that allows you to sketch 3D printed traditional holiday images — perhaps one of the best innovations in 3D printing world this year.The aptly named innovative gDraw allows you to first sketch a design in 2D and then creating a G-Code file that can be 3D printed. Roy launched the software via his website before Christmas, but the nifty code package can be used for crafting all year round.
Roy’s post features images of some greeting cards made by him using gDraw that have an eye-popping 3D effect, featuring Christmas trees, text, and some basic line drawings.
